Tru Earth

I started using Tru Earth laundry strips in 2020 and haven't looked back. This company's "critical cause is to make true lasting change that helps save the planet." I am on board with reducing my plastic waste by getting rid of laundry jugs along with other items in my household (more to come). At first I was skeptical about these laundry strips' efficiency and their scent. Luckily there is a fragrance-free option because I am very sensitive to smells, so that concern was remedied. I read reviews before purchasing my first "bundle", as one does, and that was all I could really do before making the jump and taking the chance because unfortunately they are not sold anywhere near Santa Monica. When I placed the first order, I signed up for a "bundle and save" subscription (that seems to be the new craze these days with ordering on-line and wanting to save money) which one bundle is 32 strips and is equivalent to 32 loads (a typical jug of laundry detergent). Also, when signing up for a first time subscription this company donates 32 strips to a local organization or families in need. What?! Kindness, too, is this company too good to be tru??? I stayed skeptical thinking it can't be a good product. Well, the laundry strips came in the mail, in their envelope-style packaging, no excess anything with plastic wrapping, it was a beautiful sight. Now the tru test is how well they work. Well, I LOVE THEM! Not because they clean my clothes in any better way, that was pretty much the same. I love them because they did not disappoint me in the cleaning aspect, they are easy strips to use, they don't take up any space for storage, the come in an environmentally respectful and recyclable (paper) package, and I have now kept a horrible plastic jug from maybe being recycled (yes, I'm a bit jaded when it comes to the efficacy of recycling plastic) and/or ending up in a landfill.

"Let's Battle Plastic Together

At its core, you’ll discover that Tru Earth, is actually a movement (#TruEarthMovement). The Tru Earth team joins more than 500,000 equally committed people in more than 65 countries to combat the 645 billion plastic household product containers dumped in landfills and oceans globally each year. For every 32 loads of laundry purchased from Tru Earth, one plastic jug is eliminated from a landfill or ocean. As we often say here at Tru Earth, many small hinges can swing this very very big door. Thanks for joining us in our current battle to eradicate plastic."

As of September 7th, 2021, True Earth sales have eliminated 5,814,991 plastic jugs from a landfill or ocean!

I am a huge fan and will continue to purchase my laundry strips from Tru Earth and have hopefully have inspired some of you to come aboard and try these out for yourselves so we can save the planet, one plastic jug at a time, One Sea Star at a time.
